Earl Minor of the Waverly Hotshots was in command from start to finish in his 2-0 shutout win over the Garland Omen. He struck out 1, walked 0 and allowed 5 hits.
"I felt strong the entire game," Minor said. "I felt like I had my good stuff. It was just one of those games when everything was working."

Harry Decker of the Garland Omen was one tough customer on the hill today. He blanked the Yuba City Magicians 4-0 on 3 hits, registering 4 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"When he's on, he's tough to hit," said the Yuba City manager after the game. "He's just a bulldog out there."

It was a razor-sharp performance by Steve Cross of the Garland Omen against the Yuba City Magicians. He fashioned a fine 3-hitter in blanking them 6-0 and chalked up 4 strikeouts and no walks.
On his 2018 stats sheet Cross shows a 4-1 record, 10 starts, 66.1 innings, 21 strikeouts and a 3.26 ERA.
