What's in a number? In baseball, just about everything.
The numbers that High Point in Hernando County's Miguel Hernández stacked up last week were the envy of the league, as Hernández came away with Sub League 2 Player of the Week honors.
He belted out 10 hits in 25 at-bats, 2 home runs and 5 RBIs last week as he posted his .400 batting average.
In the 2019 season Hernández is batting .338 with 24 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 13 times and batted in 10.

 | Thursday, August 1st, 2019: High Point in Hernando County's Ngigi SL2 #1 Batter in July
The Sub League 2 has selected its Hitter of the Month for July and the honor went to Berhanu Ngigi, High Point in Hernando County's fine first baseman.
Ngigi was selected after batting .408, hitting 3 home runs, scoring 14 runs and driving in 19.
In 2019 Ngigi is batting .413 with 3 home runs.

 | Thursday, July 25th, 2019: 5 Hits for Spectres Wang
Po-sin Wang had an answer for everything the High Point in Hernando County River Sharks threw him today in the Bakersfield 5-4 triumph at Spectres Ballpark. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit.
The Bakersfield left fielder went 5 for 6 in the game to put his name in the record book.
Summing up his batting philosophy to SION writers after the game, Wang said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
P. Wang singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, struck out in the 9th, singled in the 12th and walked in the 14th.
So far this year Wang is hitting .355 with 1 home run.
