| Breaking News |  | Monday, July 15th, 2019: Nash's Strong Week Earns SL2 Trophy 20-year-old catcher Dermott Nash of the Mayville Lampreys is the talk of the Sub League 2 for putting on a torrid hitting display last week and claiming the Player of the Week Award.
Nash rapped out a sensational .474 batting average with 9 hits in 19 at-bats, no home runs and 8 RBIs.
This year Nash is batting .354 with 29 hits and no home runs. He has scored 10 times and has batted in 16 runs. |  | Sunday, July 7th, 2019: Gonzáles Sparkles in Shutout "It was just one of those games, when everything went right. I threw a lot of strikes," Manny Gonzáles said. "And the pitches they did get to hit, they didn't do anything with them."
The Mayville Lampreys pitcher really got it done in his 7-0 shutout victory over the MacComb Whales, shutting them down on 2 hits. Gonzáles issued 1 walk and had 4 strikeouts.
|  | Saturday, July 6th, 2019: Great Day for Kim! 5 Hits! Who needs batting practice? Kyung-tae Kim of MacComb apparently doesn't as he battered Mayville with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 15-5 win.
He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 5 day... will my name be in the record books now?"
K. Kim singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off J. Payne in the 8th.
