5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Lebanon's Timothy Hopkins had a very special day against the Jayhawks when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Lebanon Comets to a 15-11 win at Comets Stadium.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Hopkins said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
T. Hopkins doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
Hopkins is currently hitting at a .304 pace with no home runs, 5 RBIs and has scored 8 times.

 | Tuesday, July 30th, 2019: Garza on Rampage Against Jayhawks!
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for José Garza. It was very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. Garza went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Cherry Hill Mall pitching.
When the dust settled on the diamond at Comets Stadium, he had a career 5-6 day and something he will long remember. And the Lebanon Comets had a 5-4 victory over the Jayhawks.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he laughed in the SION postgame interview.
J. Garza flied out in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 11th and hit a solo-shot off A. Mack in the 13th.
In this current campaign Garza is hitting at a .333 clip with 3 home runs and 19 RBIs.

Sub League 2 pitchers tried and tried all week long to stop Arturo Ramírez, but to no avail.
His eyes would light up when he came to the plate and he hit everything in sight, batting .517 for the week to win the SL2 Player of the Week Award. The Lebanon right fielder cracked 15 hits in 29 at-bats, 3 home runs, drove in 12 runs and scored 9 times.
