The San Diego Corals received some welcome news this morning. They will not need to place starting pitcher Keith Morgan on the disabled list. During yesterday's game against the Sacramento Thunderjets, he was injured throwing a pitch. The injury, however, is not serious. The San Diego star performer is listed as day-to-day with back spasms.
In 2019 Morgan has compiled a 11-8 mark with a 3.13 ERA in 32 starts.

San Diego center fielder Bob Moon has back spasms, suffered while making a defensive play. He's expected to be out for 2-3 weeks.
Moon is hitting .266 in 2019 with 27 home runs, 78 RBIs and 60 runs scored. He has 109 hits in 410 at-bats and played in 115 games.

Reports out of San Diego indicate that Bob Moon, the gifted center fielder, might be sidelined for 2 weeks or so with a damaged meniscus. The 28-year-old star suffered the injury in yesterday's Wombats-Corals game while making a defensive play. "It's a game time decision," noted the team doctor, "It all depends on how Bob feels later today. If he can play, he will."
In 111 games Moon is hitting .258 this season for the Corals with 103 hits, 26 home runs, 75 RBIs, 68 walks, .369 OBP and has scored 59 runs .
