| Breaking News | | Wednesday, August 14th, 2019: Cincinnati Shuts Out Trenton "He was kind of teasing them with his offspeed stuff and his fastball was moving everywhere," the Cincinnati skipper said in postgame comments after Andrés Díaz had shut out the Trenton Dictators 4-0 on a 5-hit masterpiece.
Díaz numbered 5 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in a gem of a performance.
"We just didn't swing the bats very well . . . or he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," complained the Trenton manager after the defeat.

It will get you in the record books."
The 22-year-old player gained that distinction today at Blue Devils Ballpark with a spectacular 5 for 5 game against the Cincinnati Wings.
The skipper of the Blue Devils spoke glowingly of Wright, telling SION writers, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Greg did that to perfection today."
G. Wright doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off R. Elliott in the 9th.
This season in 72 games Wright is batting .341 with 1 home run, 48 RBIs and has scored 45 times. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | RF António Sánchez | herniated disc (back) | 4-5 months | Not on DL | | SS Nick Webb | torn groin muscle | 2-3 months | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 66-54, .550 PCT | | Position in Division | 1st, - GB | | Record at home | 30-30, .500 PCT | | Record on the road | 36-24, .600 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 6-5, .545 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 22-23, .489 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 24-18, .571 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 42-36, .538 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 6-4, .600 PCT | | Record in April | 15-10, .600 PCT | | Record in May | 18-8, .692 PCT | | Record in June | 13-15, .464 PCT | | Record in July | 11-15, .423 PCT | | Record in August | 9-6, .600 PCT |
