The Sub League 2 has made it official -- Chris Pitts is this week's winner of the Player of the Week Award.
The Tulsa right fielder was sensational with a .583 batting average, no home runs and 5 RBIs. Pitts also had 6 walks and posted a .667 on-base percentage.
Batting .315 to date, Pitts has 1 home run and 34 RBIs.

Harry Russell of the Tulsa Buzzards shut out the Trenton Dictators 6-0, held them to 3 hits with 4 walks and 1 strikeout. Russell said, "I could throw any pitch on any count."
The Trenton skipper called his game a jewel, saying, "The way he was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him."
This season Russell has 9 wins and 11 losses and a 5.22 ERA.

The Sub League 2 has named its Top Player of the Week. The honor went to Nick Rice, first baseman of the Tulsa Buzzards.
In an extraordinary hitting display, he belted out hits at a .409 pace to win the award. Rice went 9-22 for the week, totaled 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 7 times.
This year Rice is hitting .291 with 75 hits, 5 home runs, 45 RBIs and has scored 36 runs.
