| Breaking News |  | Friday, September 6th, 2019: Top Pitcher Trophy Won by Blue Devils Chamberlain
Jesse Chamberlain was overpowering this season for the Yonkers Blue Devils and earned the 2019 Outstanding Pitcher Award.
In a standout year he went 6-2 in 9 starts with 38 strikeouts in 54.1 innings and an impressive 2.98 ERA.
This weekend Chamberlain will be honored by the SION Baseball Writers Association at its annual awards dinner.

| Monday, September 2nd, 2019: Blue Devils Defeat Steamboats 4-2
The Yonkers Blue Devils concluded the season in grand fashion -- they won the FBL Single A Round 2. They nailed it down at Blue Devils Ballpark by whipping the Glendale Steamboats 5-2 to win it all. They took the series 4-2.
Their motto for the season was "Win or Die Trying".
"They never let up and they never stopped trying the whole season," the Blue Devils manager proudly told reporters. "They hustled and fought the whole season and it continued in the playoffs. They are a very special bunch of guys."
To get their 1st league crown, the Blue Devils finished up the regular season in the Sub League 2 Division 1 with a 77-43 record, ending up in first place in the division standings.

 | Monday, August 5th, 2019: 5-Hit Barrage by Calhoun
All game long Yonkers's Brian Calhoun was rattling the walls at Blue Devils Ballpark and banging out base hits against the Annetta Oysters. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Blue Devils had a 11-2 victory.
Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 21-year-old second baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."
B. Calhoun hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off J. Carrión in the 8th.
Calhoun is swinging at a .308 pace on the year with 2 home runs, 34 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has played in 79 games.
