Sometimes even Yasuo Hasegawa of Durham isn't sure which pitcher will show up when he takes the mound.
"I've been good sometimes and bad sometimes," he said.
This time he made the North Port Sinks look bad 7-0.
Hasegawa tossed a 1-hit shutout against them, totaling 4 strikeouts and giving up 2 walks.
To this point in the season Hasegawa has 9 wins and 3 losses and a 2.76 ERA.

José Martínez of the Glendale Steamboats spun his magic on the Durham Sun today. He blanked them 7-0 on 4 hits, registering 4 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Martínez said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Glendale skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone."
In 2019 Martínez has compiled a 5-4 record with a 3.17 ERA in 15 starts.

Sergio Jiménez of the Fort Riley North Garrison was right on target when he blanked the Durham Sun 1-0, yielded 4 hits and totaled no walks and 6 strikeouts.
Speaking to SION reporters after the game, Jiménez said, "I had everything working today and I got some help from my defense, too. They saved my butt a few times."
So far in 14 starts this season, Jiménez has recorded 3 wins and sustained 9 losses. He has pitched 95.2 innings, yielded 108 hits, fanned 69 and has a 3.76 ERA.
