Monday, August 12th, 2019: Pace Earns SL1 Player of the Week
According to the voters, Allan Pace of the Orlando Trouts had the best week of all Sub League 1 hitters as he was named this week's Player of the Week.

The first baseman's accomplishments include 12 hits in 27 at-bats, a .444 batting average, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 6 runs scored.

So far in 2019 Pace has hit .293 with 8 home runs and 67 RBIs. He has played in 112 games and scored 78 times.
Saturday, August 3rd, 2019: Lubbock's Harper Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits
Jim Harper got the glory and the headlines today, while the Orlando Trouts got the win. The Lubbock shortstop easily handled Trouts pitching, going 5 for 5, but the Cattlemen came out on the short end of the score 6-5.

He told SION reporters in the postgame interview, "I'm glad I got the hits, but I would trade three or four of 'em for a win...maybe even all 5 of 'em."

The Cattlemen skipper added, "Well, it's a shame we didn't get the victory today, especially with his standout performance. Let's just hope our team can do better tomorrow."

J. Harper singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and tripled in the 10th.

This season Harper is batting .309 with 6 home runs. His totals include 62 RBIs and 47 runs scored.
Monday, July 29th, 2019: SL1 Player of the Week Awarded
At the age of 27, David Barton might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Orlando catcher put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days collecting the Sub League 1 Player of the Week Award.

He racked up 17 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs and 9 RBIs last week in 6 games.

Barton is currently batting .329 with 5 home runs and 28 RBIs.
