In a sharp 6-hit performance, Luis Espinoza tossed the North Port Sinks to a 7-0 shutout victory over the Lubbock Cattlemen, fanning 8 and walking 3.
"That's as good a stuff as I've seen in a long time," the Lubbock manager said in his postgame interview.
This season Espinoza has compiled a 3-3 record with a 4.88 ERA.

Chris Fleming really did a number on the Bluefins -- but Beechwood retaliated and did a number on the Sinks -- they beat them 3-2.
Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But Fleming did just that today for North Port and gave his batting average a healthy boost, but did not deliver the victory.
"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 22-year-old right fielder said after his record-setting performance. "I just wish we had won the game, too."
C. Fleming singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Sometimes even Yasuo Hasegawa of Durham isn't sure which pitcher will show up when he takes the mound.
"I've been good sometimes and bad sometimes," he said.
This time he made the North Port Sinks look bad 7-0.
Hasegawa tossed a 1-hit shutout against them, totaling 4 strikeouts and giving up 2 walks.
