"A complete game shutout. That's fun territory for me," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I had good balance and mechanics and was able to keep the ball down. When I do that, good things happen."

He was injured against the Spokane Warplanes while throwing a pitch. Diagnosed as a damaged meniscus, the William reliever is expected to miss 7 weeks. Soto was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "There is nothing I can do now. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
