| Breaking News | | Wednesday, July 17th, 2019: Eric Callahan to Miss 1-2 Weeks "It was kinda freaky. Hopefully, I'll be back in the lineup soon," said a dejected Eric Callahan after injuring himself in a game against Fort Wayne. The Hudson manager told SION reporters, "He will miss up to 1-2 weeks with a strained back muscle." The Silver will have to decide over the next day or two whether the reliever will go on the disabled list.
This season Callahan has made 40 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 2-4 won-lost mark and a 4.15 ERA. In pitching 95.1 innings, he has totaled 32 strikeouts and 32 walks. | | Friday, July 5th, 2019: Hudson Reliever Injured After the end of today's game between Hudson and Chandler, Eric Callahan skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, the Silver had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The reliever will miss at least 2 weeks with back spasms.
Thus far in 2019, Callahan has compiled a 2-4 record, made 39 relief appearances with no saves, hurling 93 innings and striking out 32. He has held the opposition to a .317 batting average with a 4.06 ERA. | | Sunday, June 16th, 2019: 5-Hit Barrage by Carpenter "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Hudson second baseman Graham Carpenter said to SION reporters after his fantastic 5-5 day against the Spokane Warplanes. "I got some good counts and used the whole field."
However his sensational day wasn't enough. The Warplanes won the ballgame 9-6.
The disappointed Carpenter said to reporters, "I guess you can't always have it all." He added, tongue in cheek, "I guess it's better to go 5 for 5 and lose than it is to go 0 for 5 and lose."
G. Carpenter doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
So far this season Carpenter has 5 home runs and a .347 batting average. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | P Cory Henry | back spasms | 4 days | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 51-69, .425 PCT | | Position in Division | 4th, 26.0 GB | | Record at home | 26-34, .433 PCT | | Record on the road | 25-35, .417 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 2-11, .154 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 14-27, .341 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 11-20, .355 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 40-49, .449 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 5-5, .500 PCT | | Record in April | 9-13, .409 PCT | | Record in May | 12-15, .444 PCT | | Record in June | 8-21, .276 PCT | | Record in July | 12-14, .462 PCT | | Record in August | 10-6, .625 PCT |
