During a player's career, there are days that stand out, and this day was definitely special! Lorenzo Chávez went 5 for 5 against the Fort Wayne Reprisals at Field of the Steeds and the Steeds picked up a 6-5 victory.
He exclaimed, "What a day! We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" The delighted first baseman was really enjoying the happiness of the moment in the press room.
"He was patient up there today," the Crandon Lakes skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Chávez has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes."
L. Chávez hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
Chávez is batting at a .389 pace in 2019, picking up 86 hits in 221 at-bats with 6 home runs, 37 RBIs and 40 runs scored.

All week long Dae-hyung Kim made the highlight reels and made headlines -- his name and face were everywhere. So it was no surprise to anyone when he was chosen the Sub League 2's Player of the Week for his standout performance.
Kim put up a solid set of stats, compiling a .409 average (9-22) and contributing 3 home runs and 8 RBIs to claim the honor.
Looking at his 2019 season stats, Kim has compiled a .272 batting average in 53 games with a .346 on-base percentage, while hitting 7 home runs and driving in 42 runs.

 | Sunday, June 23rd, 2019: Ning Goes 5-5 Against Fort Wayne
5 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book and the latest honoree is Zong-yuan Ning of the Crandon Lakes Steeds.
He tore up the Fort Wayne Reprisals to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the Crandon Lakes 11-4 win today at Field of the Steeds.
"Ning was a tough out today," the Fort Wayne manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Z. Ning singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
This season Ning is batting .308 with 1 home run. He has scored 22 runs and driven in 14.
