In July, Rafael Rodríguez let his bat do the talking for him. The Danville first baseman smacked the ball at a .344 average as he laid claim to the Sub League 1 Batter of the Month award.
He rapped 11 home runs, drove in 28 and scored 19 runs.
In 2019 Rodríguez is batting .336 with 16 home runs and 44 RBIs.

| Monday, July 22nd, 2019: Great Week for Danville's Rafael Rodríguez
This week's standout performer in the Sub League 1 was first baseman Rafael Rodríguez of the Danville Crayfish.
He belted out a .520 average and was voted the Player of the Week. Over the last week Rodríguez collected 13 hits in 25 at-bats and 4 home runs, drove in 12 runs and scored 7 times.
So far in 2019 Rodríguez is batting .339 with 12 home runs, 37 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 42 hits in 124 at-bats and a .424 OBP.

 | Saturday, June 22nd, 2019: Skeletons Shut Out Crayfish, Ruíz Winner
In an outstanding mound performance, Ricardo Ruíz of the Saint Petersburg Skeletons scuttled the Danville Crayfish 3-0 on a 2-hit shutout, ringing up 3 strikeouts and giving up 2 walks.
"He's got great stuff and good movement," the Danville manager said after the game.
"He threw a lot of breaking balls. He made adjustments. We just couldn't figure him out today."
To date in 2019, Ruíz has registered 17 starts, 6-3 won-lost mark, 4.46 ERA, 101 IP, 31 strikeouts and 24 walks. Opposing teams have hit .292 against him.
