The Player of the Week has been announced by the Sub League 1. The award went to Kevin King, center fielder of the Maynard Law.
He dominated league pitchers with a .567 average to win the honor. King went 17-30 for the week, totaled no home runs with 3 RBIs and scored 5 times.
This season King is hitting .305 with no home runs.

 | Wednesday, July 24th, 2019: Davis Records Shutout Against Maynard
Ron Davis of the Tacoma Bulldozers whitewashed the Maynard Law 7-0 in a complete game win, limiting them to 6 hits while chalking up 2 strikeouts and giving up 3 walks.
"Talking to SION writers after the game, his manager said, "He's got the makeup. He's not afraid to challenge guys. Ron is pretty poised out there. He knows how to pitch and how to use his stuff."
To date this season, Davis has a record of 3 wins and 11 losses and a 6.42 ERA. He has appeared in 18 games and struck out 25 in 82.2 innings.

 | Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019: O'Neal Tags Law 5 Hits
The Bulldozers were defeated 5-4 today at Bulldozers Ballpark by the Law, but you can't say Dudley O'Neal didn't give it his best try. The Bulldozers center fielder came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for O'Neal and a tough day for Tacoma.
"I just go up there and swing away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan."
No plan or not, O'Neal delivered today...5-5 is outstanding in any league.
D. O'Neal singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off J. Dare in the 9th.
This season O'Neal is swinging the bat at a .333 rate with 37 hits in 111 at-bats. To date he has hit 1 home run, scored 15 runs and driven in 9.
