| Breaking News |  | Monday, July 1st, 2019: Shreveport's Relief Ace Top Pitcher in June
In June, the #1 pitcher in the Sub League 1 was a reliever, thanks to some strong stats Tim Stewart of the Shreveport Crowns put up coming out of the bullpen.
The Shreveport relief specialist was superb with 1 save in 14 relief appearances, a 7-0 won-lost mark and 7.03 ERA. He worked 24.1 innings, allowed 30 hits, struck out 21 and walked 10.
Taking a look at his season, Stewart has made 38 relief appearances, recorded 1 save and compiled a 10-2 won-lost mark and a 6.46 ERA. In pitching 61.1 innings, he has totaled 51 strikeouts and 19 walks.

 | Wednesday, June 26th, 2019: Camacho Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
History in the making. That's what the fans at Skeletons Stadium got to see today, when Saint Petersburg outplayed the Crowns 11-4. Pedro Camacho of the Skeletons came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Shreveport.
In the postgame press conference the Shreveport skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."
P. Camacho doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
So far this season Camacho is batting .323 with 5 home runs.

 | Thursday, June 20th, 2019: Hickey Gets 5 Hits
Darryl Hickey was on fire today and sparked his club to a 18-5 victory over the Skychiefs. The Shreveport catcher was a tough out and went 5 for 6 against Toledo in a fine hitting display.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody...and some days they fall in."
D. Hickey singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off H. O'Larkin in the 9th.
So far this season Hickey has hit .405 with 1 home run, 9 RBIs and and scored 9 times.
