But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Andrew Campbell showed how it's done as he went 5 for 5 against the Stockton Angelfish and helped the Tieton Golden Nuggets beat them 10-9.
The manager for the Angelfish told the SION sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames."
If Campbell keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise.
A. Campbell singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off M. Bowers in the 8th.
Posting a .268 batting average to date, Campbell has 6 home runs and 54 RBIs. | | Thursday, July 4th, 2019: Hit Parade! Murphy Pops 5 Hits!
