| Breaking News |  | Monday, August 19th, 2019: Toughest Out of the Week Wins SL1 Award The marquee name in the Sub League 1 this week is Rob O'Kane of the Minneapolis Dholes.
The hot-hitting 26-year-old left fielder put up a .545 average and .643 on-base percentage, piling up 12 hits in 22 at-bats, no home runs, 2 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
That kind of hitting got him the SL1 Player of the Week honors.
O'Kane is batting at a .273 pace in 2019, picking up 105 hits in 385 at-bats with 2 home runs, 47 RBIs and 65 runs scored. |  | Friday, August 16th, 2019: Dholes Krupp Blanks Missiles "He was too darn good for us today," grumbled the Raleigh manager after his club suffered a 14-0 shutout at the hands of Mal Krupp of the Minneapolis Dholes. He held the Raleigh Missiles scoreless in a 2-hit whitewash.
Krupp was in a zone of his own most of the game and finished with 11 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.
In a postgame quote his own skipper added, "He pitched his butt off, had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. Mal did a whale of a pitching job."
So far this year Krupp has a 14-8 record with a 4.36 ERA. |  | Thursday, August 1st, 2019: Red-Hot July Lands Parker Batting Prize in SL1 Doug Parker of the Minneapolis Dholes stood out in July with a .414 batting average against Sub League 1 pitchers to land him the Batter of the Month award.
The 29-year-old first baseman totaled 2 home runs, 27 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He also chipped in 7 walks for a .458 on-base percentage.
This season Parker has delivered 46 hits in 115 at-bats for a .400 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .448 clip and his totals also include 30 RBIs and 18 runs scored.
