| Breaking News |  | Saturday, August 31st, 2019: Sting Rays Holds Nashville Scoreless Stu Jenkins was dynamite today and just blew Nashville away in the 6-0 victory. The San Jose Sting Rays starter had everything working as he hurled a 4-hit shutout over the Sounds, recording 5 strikeouts and 5 walks.
"He was pure nasty out there today. I don't think any team in the would've had a chance against what he was bringing," said the Nashville skipper during his postgame press conference.

Hopefully, I'll be back in the lineup soon," said a dejected Sam Mullins after injuring himself in a game against Buffalo. The San Jose manager told SION reporters, "He will miss up to 4 weeks with a strained back muscle." The Sting Rays will have to decide over the next day or two whether the starting pitcher will go on the disabled list.
His record this season is 10-7 in 28 starts and Mullins has a 3.87 ERA. |  | Sunday, August 18th, 2019: San Jose Loses Gabriel Bernier Gabriel Bernier of the San Jose Sting Rays was injured in today's game against Baltimore and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a strained elbow ligament, and he is expected to be out for up to 2 weeks. It happened while Bernier was throwing the ball. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field."
