Norman Ramey of the Baltimore Cayugas was on fire against Dallas. He shut them down 3-0 on 6 hits and no runs with 6 strikeouts and no walks.
"The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Ramey said. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
So far this season, Ramey has logged a 13-10 record with a 4.43 ERA. He has started 25 games, hurled 160.1 innings and registered 98 strikeouts and 50 walks.

"Sometimes I was smart . . . and sometimes just a little lucky." That's how Pat Fish of the Dallas Sundogs described his shutout victory over the Kansas City Joy Riders. Fish blanked them 4-0 on 3 hits while striking out 9 and walking 1.
Over the season Fish has thrown 157.2 innings and dished out 102 strikeouts with a 17-6 mark and a 3.08 ERA.
