Santiago Ocampo showed some power today as he launched three balls into the seats against the Brooklyn Pioneers and sparked the Thunderjets to a 10-1 victory.
For the day he collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 5 RBIs.
In the postgame press conference he told the reporters, "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good. I always have liked to hit here at Ballpark of Sacramento."
"He was instant offense today," the Sacramento skipper said. "Santiago really put on a show."
S. Ocampo flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off B. Brown in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off B. Brown in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off I. Villanueva in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
This year Ocampo is hitting .296 with 29 home runs.

 | Saturday, July 13th, 2019: Moreno Out 2 Weeks with Injury
Medical officials from the Brooklyn Pioneers reported that the club's 28-year-old reliever, Javier Moreno, suffered a finger blister in yesterday's matchup against the Sacramento Thunderjets while throwing a pitch. Moreno is expected to miss 2 weeks of action.
Moreno has gone to the hill for 20 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 2-0 record with a 8.31 ERA. The Brooklyn reliever has limited opposing batters to a .298 batting average.

 | Sunday, July 7th, 2019: Hollaway Slaps 5 Hits
At Pioneers Ballpark Andrew Hollaway was the King of Swing today in the 9-8 win over the Corals.
The Brooklyn left fielder stepped into the batter's box 5 times against the San Diego and delivered 5 hits.
It was a sensational game for him. He excitedly told the press, "Unbelieveable feeling. Unbelieveable. It felt good. It felt great. What a day! 5 for 5! It does wonders for your batting average, too."
A. Hollaway singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off T. Tien in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off C. Jenkins in the 8th.
In 86 games this year Hollaway has posted a .271 average and put up these numbers: 6 home runs, 32 RBIs and 56 runs scored.
