| Breaking News |  | Saturday, September 7th, 2019: Wolf Point Tops Waverly for FBLR Title
The Wolf Point Doom concluded the season in grand fashion -- they won the FBL Rookie League Round 2. They nailed it down at Doom Ballpark by whipping the Waverly Hotshots 4-3 to win it all. They took the series 4-1.
Their motto for the season was "Win or Die Trying".
"They never let up and they never stopped trying the whole season," the Doom manager proudly told reporters. "They hustled and fought the whole season and it continued in the playoffs. They are a very special bunch of guys."
To get their 2nd league crown, the Doom finished up the regular season in the Sub League 1 Division 1 with a 38-24 record, ending up in first place in the division standings.

The teams who survived the hard battles of the regular season now begin their new campaign -- the postseason! The playoffs begin today in FBL Rookie League as the Round 1 commences with these match-ups of clubs hoping to win the title:

Happy days are here for the playoff-bound teams.
The FBL Rookie League regular season is over and the playoffs will soon get under way to determine the league's best team for 2019.
The clubs are planning their lineups and pitching rotations, going over scouting reports, trying to glean little bits of information that might give them the edge. Nothing is seemingly left to chance. It takes a lot of talent and sometimes a little bit of luck to bring home the Round 2 trophy.
