Jimmy Jones went on a year-long hitting rampage against Sub League 2 pitchers and collected the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2019.
The Baton Rouge second baseman battered the opposition for 76 hits, 22 doubles, no triples, 4 home runs and 43 RBIs while scoring 34 runs. He hit .409 and posted a .477 on-base percentage.
This weekend Jones will be honored by the SION Baseball Writers Association at its annual awards dinner.

His solid numbers speak for themselves. That's why José Martínez of the St. Louis Oaks was named the Sub League 1 Outstanding Hitter Award in 2019.
He completed this award-winning season with a .366 batting average, 60 hits, 1 home run, 24 RBIs, .439 OBP and 29 runs scored.
This weekend the SION Baseball Writers Association will present the trophy to Martínez for being the SL1's top-rated batter. He will receive it at the SBWA's annual awards dinner.

 | Friday, September 6th, 2019: Top Pitcher Trophy Won by Blue Devils Chamberlain
Jesse Chamberlain was overpowering this season for the Yonkers Blue Devils and earned the 2019 Outstanding Pitcher Award.
In a standout year he went 6-2 in 9 starts with 38 strikeouts in 54.1 innings and an impressive 2.98 ERA.
This weekend Chamberlain will be honored by the SION Baseball Writers Association at its annual awards dinner.
