FBL Single A 09-08-2019 Home | | | Breaking News | | Wednesday, September 4th, 2019: FBL Single A News: The Offseason Begins Wait until next year! That is the battle cry for the fans of all but one FBLA team. While the 2019 champs get to brag to their buddies about the championship, it's time for general managers to rehash last year and figure out ways to improve their teams. It is the offseason in baseball. The diamonds and the stadiums are void of activity, but the front offices are bristling with energy. Good teams want to stay good -- bad teams want to get good -- and all teams want to get better. So get ready for the ecstasy of a superstar savior's signing, the joy of re-signing a valuable performer, but also the heartbreak of losing a bidding war or saying farewell to that retiring vet. Nothing is happening on the field, but off the field, the offseason is rarely dull.

The Dictators indicated they will soon be interviewing candidates for the position.
"This time we hope to get someone with a proven track record. We want an experienced manager and will take our time in getting one," the general manager told reporters.
In an exclusive interview with SION, Jones said, "No hard feelings. This is just part of the game. Trenton gave me an opportunity and I appreciate it. They treated me well and fairly. I just wish we could have done better." | | Wednesday, September 4th, 2019: Pagán Removed; Fired by Tulsa Buzzards Tulsa has sent their manager Jorge Pagán packing and there are plans to announce a replacement soon.
The GM was appreciative of his efforts this past year, but the team did not make the progress that is needed to make them a contender.
At the press conference he said, "We may promote within the organization or we might just go out and get the best skipper available. No decision has been made on that, but we will make it soon."
The departing manager told reporters, "Building a contender takes time and good players. We made some progress this season, but it wasn't enough. These days management and owners want instant inprovement and instant gratification." | | | | |
