 | Monday, August 19th, 2019: Knights Lose José Álvarez After injuring himself, Knights starting pitcher José Álvarez headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Álvarez will miss at least 1-2 weeks with a tender shoulder. Álvarez has posted a 8-4 record in 2019 with a 4.49 ERA. Teams are hitting .258 against him and he has rung up 83 strikeouts in 104.1 innings. |
