 | Friday, August 9th, 2019: Kevin Nix Out for 4 Weeks Watching Kevin Nix getting helped off the field today at Cayugas Ballpark, fans of the Baltimore Cayugas feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the second baseman will miss 4 weeks with a hyperextended knee. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Nix suffered the injury colliding with a player at a base in the game against the Banshees. Thus far this season Nix has hit .214 with 14 home runs, 54 RBIs and scored 58 times. |
