 | Thursday, June 27th, 2019: González on Fire, 5-5 Against Dallas It was a sensational day at the plate for José González as he led the charge to a 10-7 win over the Sundogs. The San Jose catcher was pure misery for the Dallas pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Sundogs told SION reporters after the game, "González put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." J. González hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off F. Gonzáles in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI triple in the 9th. So far this season González is hitting .282 with 8 home runs, 36 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has 74 hits in 262 at-bats and a .347 OBP. |
